We are currently updating our roster of consultants to support our growing portfolio of projects.

Objectives:
The Statistician Consultant will play a crucial role in providing statistical expertise and support to Scofield Associates’ project teams. Key objectives include:

  • Designing and implementing robust statistical methodologies for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Conducting statistical analyses to derive meaningful insights and inform decision-making.
  • Developing and maintaining statistical models for forecasting and predictive analytics.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly communicate statistical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure the effective integration of statistical analysis into project deliverables.

Scope of Work:
The Statistician Consultant will be engaged on a project-specific basis, with the scope of work tailored to the specific needs of each project. Typical tasks may include:

  • Reviewing project proposals and identifying statistical requirements.
  • Developing sampling plans and data collection methodologies.
  • Cleaning, validating, and preparing data for statistical analysis.
  • Applying appropriate statistical techniques to analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Conducting hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other statistical procedures.
  • Interpreting statistical results and drawing meaningful conclusions.
  • Preparing clear and concise reports and presentations that summarize statistical findings.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to project teams on statistical matters.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience, OR
    A Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience.
    Strong proficiency in statistical software packages such as R, SPSS, or SAS.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Demonstrated experience in applying statistical methods to real-world problems.

This should also be reflected in your motivation statement, your resume and your sample works. This will help us place you in specific projects in specific countries.
