We are currently updating our roster of consultants to strengthen our capacity in addressing public health challenges and promoting health and well-being in diverse populations and settings. We seek a Public Health Consultant Expert to provide strategic guidance and technical support on public health research, policy development, program implementation, and evaluation.

Objectives:
The Public Health Consultant Expert will play a crucial role in ensuring that public health considerations are integrated into Scofield Associates’ projects. Key objectives include:

• Providing technical expertise and guidance on public health principles, theories, methodologies, and best practices.
• Conducting public health needs assessments, epidemiological studies, program evaluations, and policy analyses to inform decision-making and improve health outcomes.
• Developing evidence-based public health policies, strategies, and interventions to address public health challenges.
• Designing and implementing public health programs and projects to promote health, prevent disease, and improve access to healthcare.
• Providing technical assistance and training to governments, international organizations, and civil society organizations on public health issues.
• Conducting research and analysis on public health trends, risk factors, and interventions.
• Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly communicate public health findings and recommendations.

Scope of Work:
The Public Health Consultant Experts will be engaged on a project-specific basis, with the scope of work tailored to the specific needs of each project. Typical tasks may include:

• Conducting public health needs assessments to identify priority health issues and populations.
• Designing and implementing epidemiological studies to investigate disease outbreaks, risk factors, and health determinants.
• Developing and evaluating public health interventions, such as health education campaigns, vaccination programs, and disease surveillance systems.
• Providing technical advice and support to governments, international organizations, and civil society organizations on public health policy and program implementation.
• Conducting research and analysis on public health trends, risk factors, and interventions.
• Preparing project proposals, concept notes, and funding applications for public health initiatives.
• Representing Scofield Associates at public health conferences, workshops, and other relevant events.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Global Health, or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience, OR
• A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Global Health, or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience.
• A PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in public health research, policy analysis, program implementation, and evaluation.
• Strong understanding of public health principles, theories, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience in conducting public health needs assessments, epidemiological studies, program evaluations, and policy analyses.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is an asset.

This should also be reflected in your motivation statement, your resume and your sample works. This will help us place you in specific projects in specific countries.
