We are currently updating our roster of consultants to support our growing portfolio of projects. We seek a Communications and Social Media Consultant Expert to provide guidance and technical support on developing and implementing effective communication strategies across various platforms, with a focus on digital and social media.

Objectives:
The Communications and Social Media Consultant Expert will play a crucial role in ensuring that Scofield Associates’ projects effectively leverage communication and social media channels to achieve their goals. Key objectives include:

• Providing technical expertise and guidance on communication strategy development, content creation, social media management, and digital marketing.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans that align with project objectives and target audiences.
• Creating engaging and informative content for various platforms, including websites, social media channels, newsletters, and press releases.
• Managing social media channels, including content creation, community engagement, and social media advertising.
• Analyzing social media metrics and website analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and identify areas for improvement.
• Conducting training and workshops on communication and social media best practices for staff and partners.
• Advising on crisis communication and reputation management strategies.

Scope of Work:
The Communications and Social Media Consultant Expert will be engaged on a project-specific basis, with the scope of work tailored to the specific needs of each project. Typical tasks may include:

• Developing communication strategies and plans for projects, campaigns, and organizations.
• Creating and curating content for websites, social media channels, newsletters, and other platforms.
• Managing social media channels, including content scheduling, community management, and advertising.
• Analyzing social media metrics and website analytics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Conducting media relations and outreach to promote projects and initiatives.
• Developing and delivering training workshops on communication and social media skills.
• Providing crisis communication support and reputation management advice.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience, OR
• A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience.
• A PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in communication strategy development, content creation, social media management, and digital marketing.
• Strong understanding of communication theory and practice.
• Experience in managing social media platforms and using social media analytics tools.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is an asset.
