We are currently updating our roster of consultants to support our growing portfolio of projects. We seek an Economist Consultant Expert to provide strategic guidance and technical support on economic analysis, policy development, and impact assessment.

Objectives:
The Economist Consultant Expert will play a crucial role in ensuring that economic considerations are integrated into Scofield Associates’ projects. Key objectives include:

• Providing technical expertise and guidance on economic theory, modeling, data analysis, and policy formulation.
• Conducting economic research, impact assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to inform decision-making and policy development.
• Developing economic models and forecasts to analyze market trends, evaluate policy options, and predict economic outcomes.
• Providing economic advice and support to governments, international organizations, and private sector entities.
• Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly communicate economic findings and recommendations.

Scope of Work:
The Economics Expert will be engaged on a project-specific basis, with the scope of work tailored to the specific needs of each project. Typical tasks may include:

• Conducting economic research and analysis on a wide range of topics, such as market analysis, macroeconomic forecasting, and policy evaluation.
• Developing economic models and forecasts to analyze economic trends, assess policy impacts, and predict future outcomes.
• Collecting and analyzing economic data from various sources, including surveys, administrative records, and financial statements.
• Preparing economic reports, policy briefs, and presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Providing technical advice and support to project teams on economic issues.
• Contributing to the development of knowledge products and publications on economic topics.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience, OR
• A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience.
• A PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in economic research, analysis, modeling, and policy formulation.
• Strong understanding of economic theory and its application to real-world problems.
• Proficiency in statistical and econometric software packages such as Stata, R, or EViews.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is an asset.

This should also be reflected in your motivation statement, your resume and your sample works. This will help us place you in specific projects in specific countries.
