We are currently updating our roster of consultants to support our growing portfolio of projects. We seek a Human Resources and Capacity Building Consultant Expert to provide strategic guidance and technical support on talent acquisition, development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.

Objectives:
The Human Resources and Capacity Building Consultant Expert will play a crucial role in ensuring that Scofield Associates’ clients have the human capital and organizational capabilities needed to achieve their goals. Key objectives include:

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on human resources management best practices, including recruitment and selection, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, and training and development.
  • Conducting organizational needs assessments, skills gap analyses, and capacity building plans to identify and address capacity gaps. 
  • Developing and implementing human resources policies, procedures, and systems to support effective talent management and organizational development. 
  • Designing and facilitating training and development programs to enhance individual and organizational performance. 
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to managers and employees to improve leadership and management skills. 
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of human resources initiatives and making recommendations for improvement.

Scope of Work:
The Human Resources and Capacity Building Consultant Expert will be engaged on a project-specific basis, with the scope of work tailored to the specific needs of each project. Typical tasks may include:

  • Conducting organizational needs assessments and talent reviews to identify key human resources challenges and opportunities. 
  • Developing and implementing human resources strategies and plans to address identified needs. 
  • Designing and delivering training and development programs on various human resources topics, such as leadership development, performance management, and conflict resolution. 
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to managers and employees to enhance their skills and performance. 
  • Conducting job analyses and developing job descriptions. 
  • Designing and implementing recruitment and selection processes. 
  • Developing and implementing performance management systems. 
  • Designing and implementing compensation and benefits programs. 
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of human resources initiatives and making recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience, OR 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience. 
  • A PhD in a relevant field is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in human resources management, talent management, organizational development, and capacity building. 
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design. 
  • Experience in conducting training needs assessments, designing and delivering training programs, and evaluating training effectiveness. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills. 
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is an asset.

This should also be reflected in your motivation statement, your resume and your sample works. This will help us place you in specific projects in specific countries.
