Horn of Africa Review

According to the Africa Centre for Strategic Studies, Al-Shabaab is the deadliest terror group in Africa. Al-Shabaab is responsible for 4,834 deaths in a span of 12 months running up to March 31st. This figure accounts for more than half of deaths associated with Islamist militant groups operating in the continent. The figure accounts for civilian deaths as well as lives of soldiers from African Union troop-contributing countries killed by Al-Shabaab in Somalia last year.
